From the Paper
One of the root causes of prostitution is extreme poverty where teenaged children and adult women are forced to sell their bodies to earn easy money. Most recently many women from Iraq have fled to Lebanon to support themselves as there are no other ways of earning a decent living in their war torn country. The sex industry around the world is not only limited to adults as it also comprises of poor children who do not have any other means to earn a living. In Mexico a 14 year old girl is financially supported by a man in exchange of sex. The man says that the girl is completely dependent on him financially and he sees no problem doing this and if anyone has problems the girl should be supported by the UNICEF (Nair, 2009).
