This academic paper defines public relations and discusses the importance of public relations. Public relations refer to the enhancement of an organization’s reputation by public relation specialists. Public relations are equally important as other aspects of an organization such as marketing and advertising. People often fail to differentiate between public relations and marketing. The sole purpose of public relations is to keep good rapport with the customers and general public to promote an organization where as marketing is related with specific products that an organization aims to sell to and promote.
