This term paper gives brief information about advertising and further discusses that why do companies do advertising and how does it helps them. This paper mainly stresses on that if advertising is a precious information or vicious manipulation. Everyone has their own perception about advertising, some people think that it’s precious information, whereas others think that it’s a vicious manipulation which attracts people towards it and affects their life. The real image of the modern advertising is completely different which only work for their profit and do not care about the other things which can happen to people, for example Cigarettes. They advertise about cigarettes and convey their message that it gives a manly look and gives a power to climb up the mountains without getting scared, these messages are bolded but the real message which states that it is injurious to health is not bolded. In this way people only get to know the half of the story and the other half remains mystery until and unless if that advertisement is carefully studied.
