From the Paper
Interpersonal skills are defined as the ability to interact with other people i.e. people interacting with other people (Cooper, 2010). Interpersonal skills involve negotiation skills, how to start and end a conversation, making eye contact, using gestures and appropriate body language to communicate with others. Interpersonal skills also involve non verbal communication such as facial expressions while showing approval or disgust, eye contact and use of hands as a mark of gesture. In every culture interpersonal skills are different. For instance, in the United States making an eye contact while communicating is very important and is considered as a sign of trust. Inability to make an eye contact communicates untrustworthy behavior. In Latin America and some parts of Asia making an eye contact with an adult is a sign of disrespect.
