How to Cite a Textbook in an Academic Paper?

Step 1
If the textbook has only one author, cite it in the last name first name format. If a textbook has more than one author than write down the last name of the first author and than the first name followed by first names and last names format of the subsequent authors. If a textbook has more than three authors write down the first author’s name followed by “et al.” You can also write the author’s name according to the Purdue University.
Step 2
Make sure you cite the underlined title of the book.
Step 3
Put a colon (:) after citing the place of publication followed by the name of publisher’s company name using a comma (,).
Step 4
Cite the date of publication of the textbook.
Step 5
Use indentations at every line break of the book citation.
