This academic paper analyzes the global warming issue and its effects on the planet Earth. Global warming is an increasingly serious issue and so far the repercussions have been very precarious. The trapped gases within the environment of the Earth due to the greenhouse effect are causing environmental changes on the Earth all around. The writer discusses the precautionary measures that can possibly be taken to control the situation from aggravating further.

The rising sea levels, the melting glaciers in the Arctic and Antarctica, the increasing hurricanes, the extinction of various animal species and other natural calamities point on one major environmental issue i.e. global warming. Human beings never knew almost a century ago that the technological evolvement and advancements would lead them to their own trapped vagaries. “During the last century the Earth’s temperature have risen by 0.74 – 0.18 °C” (Christtodoulo, 2004).
